SALARY: $76,500 – $88,128

DESCRIPTION: The main purpose of this position is to provide professional leadership of the RICA school program under the direction of the Principal. The Assistant Principal provides support to the Principal in planning, implementing and administering the special education and related services program of the Catonsville Educational Center (CEC) for both day treatment and residential clients of RICA- Baltimore. This employee facilitates and ensures compliance of CEC/RICA-Baltimore with federal and state laws and regulations governing special education programs and treatment programs for emotionally disturbed individuals, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Maryland State Board of Education Bylaw (COMAR) and JCAHO licensing requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Possession of appropriate educational credentials as determined by the Maryland State Board of Education, 200 W. Baltimore St. Baltimore, MD 21201-2595.
EXPERIENCE: Four years of experience providing classroom instruction to students.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES:
Educational administrators in the State operated school programs are required to acquire and maintain certification in the State of Maryland per Section 6-101 of the Education Article of the Annotated Code and Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 13A.12.01.03B(2). Applicants recommended for appointment will be requested to complete an Authorization for Verification of Credentials.
