This is a Position Specific Recruitment. RECRUITMENT FOR: CAPITAL PROJECTS ENGINEER (Professional Service) Announcement # 07-5273-900 (List both the title and announcement number on your application.) SALARY: $48,664 - $78,130 (Grade 19)
CLOSING DATE: Open and Continuous
POSITION DUTIES: This is a senior level Registered Professional Engineer position managing energy related performance contracts and entities performing the work under these contracts administered by the Department of General Services, in cooperation with Maryland Energy Administration to serve the State Agencies. Responsibilities include project management on assigned energy projects; measurement and verification duties; and assisting with preparation and analysis of energy usage, utility rates and budget issues related to energy management. The position will be filled as a Registered Engineer, with a specialty in either Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience as a registered Professional Engineer responsible for the design or review for technical efficacy of mechanical or electrical engineering systems for building construction.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES: Applicants must be currently registered as Professional Engineers in Maryland or in a State with comparable requirements.

Notes: Registration requirements are established under the provisions of the Business Occupations and Professions Article, Title 14 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

5 years of engineering experience, responsible for the design and review for technical efficacy of electrical engineering systems for building construction on major or complex State projects, may be substituted for the required experience but only after the applicant has obtained registration as a Professional Engineer
