TITLE:  COORDINATOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS, IV, HEALTH SERVICES (2820) JP    (Current vacancy at the AIDS Administration, Baltimore, Maryland)
      

LIMITATION: LIMITED TO APPLICANTS AVAILABLE TO WORK IN AREA 30 (Baltimore City, Baltimore and Howard Counties)
 
SALARY:  $38,594 - $61,427 (Grade 15) – Effective 07/01/08  

CLOSING DATE: June 2, 2008

DESCRIPTION: This position will cultivate HIV prevention capacity statewide, particularly outside the Baltimore metropolitan area.  It will build the capacity of vendors to implement highly effective HIV prevention projects, conduct site visits and communicate regularly with assigned project vendors to support project outcome objectives.  It will also contribute to the incorporation of HIV testing into health care settings, and the management of Health Education/Risk Reduction targeting men who have sex with men.  

MINIMUM OUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of professional experience in health services, two (2) of which must have been professional clinical or administrative work in health or medical services in areas other than Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities or Addictions.

NOTES: 
1. Applicants may substitute a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a health or human service field for one year of the required general experience.

2. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in another field (not listed above)  plus an additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the  specific degree.
