The Maryland Statewide Personnel System also known as SPS is a collection of applications that will streamline and modernize the states approach to managing Human Resources, time and attendance, benefits, learning, state job search and applications for state employees across all agencies and benefits administration for state employees across all Universities, independent agencies (CPBIs), Maryland Department of Transportation, General Assembly, Judiciary and retirees.

All SPS applications are hosted in “the cloud”, which offers many advantages including reduced hardware and software costs, robust security, and shorter application update timeframes. Cloud based applications open up new ways for state agencies to manage time and attendance, training, and state job applications from anywhere and at any time.

SPS will be moving to
Workday Learning in October 2024. The Hub will not be in use after this transition. Employees and Managers will be able to register and take training directly from Workday. This change will streamline the learning and training process. We are working with agency training offices and staff on this transition.
