The Office of Government Relations coordinates and provides support for the Department's Legislative Activities. The Office is responsible for providing guidance to other agencies regarding legislative issues having a fiscal impact and assisting the Governor's Legislative Office with the formulation of positions on legislation.


Key Goals

  • Provide effective representation of the Department before the Maryland General Assembly, other State agencies, and the Governor's Office
  • Improve communication across agencies with respect to legislation having budgetary impacts
