The Central Collection Unit's mission is to collect delinquent debts owed to the State of Maryland in the most cost effective manner while employing the highest professional standards.

 

COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Coinciding with Governor Hogan's announcement of his Customer Service Initiative to improve all aspects of the public's interaction with the Maryland State government, the Department of Budget and Management's Central Collection Unit (CCU) is in the process of finalizing a comprehensive modernization project to overhaul the State's debt collection process. When fully implemented, this project will result in a faster, simpler, and more accurate customer service experience between CCU, State agencies, and the individual debtors.

You must have your CCU account number and your social security number available to use this system. You can also make payments by phone or online and email questions to ask.ccu@maryland.gov.
