The Standard Pay Plan is made up of several salary schedules; for FY2010, these scales have been modified to include temporary salary reductions announced on August 26, 2009. For reference purposes, you can download a zip file containing the FY2010 Salary Schedules without the temporary reductions
Most employees are paid in the Standard Salary Schedule, which has 26 grades and 20 steps.
