OPEN AND CONTINUOUS
POSITION DUTIES: This is metal work at the journey level in the steam maintenance section of a State institution or agency. Employees in this classification are responsible for independently performing skilled tasks in assembling, installing, repairing and maintaining high and low pressure steam or hot water systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Each candidate must have completed the sixth grade,
AND
Have four years of paid employment as a steam fitter.
SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be admitted to the examination for this classification. It is essential that you give complete and accurate information on your application. Successful candidates will be placed on the employment list as BEST QUALIFIED, BETTER QUALIFIED OR QUALIFIED.
