SALARY: $26,429 to $40,351

POSITION DUTIES: Intermediate level of work operating emergency medical equipment in the Emergency Medical Resources Center/System Communication System of the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System. Employees receive, clarify, relay and dispatch medical information and coordinate medical consultations between field medics, local emergency communications centers, physicians and hospital personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of high school equivalency certificate.
EXPERIENCE: One year of experience receiving, relaying, and di spatching medical information from an emergency medical communication system as an operator or from the field as prehospital care provider. Employees must obtain an Emergency Medical Technician certificate valid in the State of Maryland. Employees subject to 24 hour call, and are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with state regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS: You must possess the minimum qualifications before you are selected for a state job. Verification will be completed by the appointing authority. Permanent employees of the state must also complete necessary experience within six months of the deadline date.
