The Maryland Public Service Commission has a full-time permanent position available for an Administrative Specialist I in the Office of Executive Director.   The Office of Executive Director is the unit that directs the work of the Technical Staff of the Public Service Commission.
 
This position will serve as administrative support for the Assistant Executive Director by processing applications for new telecommunications providers, electric and gas supplier licenses, and renewable energy facility certifications.  The position would also maintain files and a database for management of letters of credit and bonds, and perform general administrative duties.  In addition to the minimum qualifications and selective qualifications listed below the ideal candidate will possess good organizational skills, and good communication skills, both oral and written.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
 
Experience:    None.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):  Please clearly describe your experience on your application.  *You MUST submit a writing sample with your application.*
 
1. Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
2. Demonstrated ability to produce a professional, written work product.
 
Note:  Applicants may substitute experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of required education.
