Roslyn Jones

Roslyn Jones began her military career in April of 1984 with the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson, SC. Her first job was as a Personnel Records Specialist in Stuttgart, Germany. After 8 years, she was honorably discharged and transferred to the Army Reserve at Fort Meade, Maryland.

In March of 1997 Roslyn went back on active duty and served one tour in Iraq as a Sr. Human Resource Manager. In October of 2012 she retired with almost 25 years of active service.

Roslyn is proud to say that she has served in the U.S. Army with her husband Keith and both her daughters, India and Fenecia. In fact, she was the Army Recruiter for both her daughters. It was while serving as an Army Recruiter from 2001 – 2003 and as an Army Career Counselor from 2005 – 2012, that Roslyn realized her passion for working with and assisting veterans.

In December of 2012 Roslyn accepted a position with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Veterans Services as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist. Roslyn assisted veterans with benefits and vocational guidance. Currently, Roslyn serves as the Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) for Mid Maryland, where she helps connect veterans with employment and training opportunities.

In August of 2013 Roslyn completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management with the American Military University in Charles Town, WV.  Roslyn is always seeking opportunities to enhance her career portfolio to better assist the veterans she serves.
