Courses focus on specific aspects of the State's Core Human Resources business processes and assigned user role(s), and cover the following:

  • Core Human Resources Transactions (Current MS-310 processes), including:
  • Reviewing Worker Data (employee records)
  • Employee Hiring (regular and contractual)
  • Job/position changes
  • End of Employment processing
  • Compensation Management
  • Employee Onboarding
  • Manager and Employee Self Service

Online Training

Training for employees consist of self-paced courses taken via The HUB. The majority of employees will use online training to learn how to use SPS. The first step is to know your role.

For those roles unable to use The HUB, please use the alternate online training provided.
NOTE: You are required to use The HUB for your training unless you are advised otherwise by your HR office.

The Maryland General Assembly’s Office of Legislative Audits operates a toll-free fraud hotline to receive allegations of fraud and/or abuse of State government resources. Information reported to the hotline in the past has helped to eliminate certain fraudulent activities and protect State resources.
